about

Astrolith, also known as Evan Sutton, is an artist and studio fixture who's amassed countless collaborations with artists including Oneohtrix Point Never, Vince Clarke, and Spank Rock, and garnered credits as an engineer with Chromeo, Teyana Taylor, Parquet Courts, and Tainy (ft. Bad Bunny and Julieta Venegas). In addition to his production and engineering work, his remix catalog over the years includes Spank Rock, Erasure, and Imagine Dragons. He never stops.

Sutton is a versatile artist who has found himself at home on the fringes, soaking up everything from rap to techno to regional club music at street level. His new single "Yo Ma", is the most potent distillation of his sound to date, honed after years in the studio and the club. Featuring Cakes da Killa and Leikeli47, "Yo Ma" blends fresh influences and tempos creating an amalgam that's been on the tip of the culture's tongue, until now.

While Astrolith and Cakes da Killa have been working and performing together since 2014, Cakes and Leikeli47 have been talking about a collab for quite some time. As soon as the beat was sent to Cakes it was instantly clear this was it...and "Yo Ma" was born. This is the first single off of Astrolith's upcoming EP, I'M LOST, on Jubilee's Magic City label.
